..“Why are we sitting here until we die?” – 2 Kings 7:3
Four lepers living outside the city walls were living on scraps of bread thrown over the wall each day. But now no more scraps were coming their way. Mustering their courage, they went into the Syrian camp, there was no one there, but the tents were full of food and valuables.
Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent… let us go and tell the king’s household”’
This story teaches us three important truths:-
First, that crisis becomes our friend when it moves us to take action.
Second, that – once we take a step of faith – God will move on our behalf.
Finally, it teaches us that when God blesses us, we can’t keep it to ourselves, EVEN THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL.
