“In whom we have redemption through Hi…

“In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14). Redemption simply means “set free.” We have been set free by precious blood of Jesus Christ. We have the right to stand against every accusation and say, “I don’t believe that, devil. You’ve accused me for the last time. My Bible says I’m redeemed because I believe in what Jesus did for me on the cross. I confess my sins to Him and I am redeemed — free!”
Declaration: “By my faith in the blood of Jesus, I receive the righteousness of Christ. He has made me fit and qualified to worship and serve my Lord!”

Psalm 146:3 ‘Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.’
Sometimes we put our trust in the wrong places. The Lord is the only One who can truly save us. Let us not be distracted by other sources of help’.The Lord is the source of our needs and we must look to Him with expectation.
PRAYER: Lord, forgive me for thinking that other people can solve my problems when You are the only One to whom I can really turn. I place my trust and confidence in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

“You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord…

“You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God” (Isaiah 62:3)
If there has been a time when people looked down on you, I have good news for you, God sees you as a crown of splendor in His hand. He will honor you, for the Lord delights in you. God says, “You are precious and honored in My sight” (Isaiah 43:4). Today, shake off the dust of unreasonable criticism, low self-esteem and fear of failure and lift up your head, you don’t have to be bowed down anymore. You are purchased by the blood of Christ, you are the child of the living God, loved and honored by Him.

1 Peter 2:9 ‘But you are a chosen people…’
– You have been chosen by God Himself and His hand is on you.
– You have been chosen by God to fulfil a special purpose and plan.
– You are not here by accident or by fate.
– You are here for such a time as this and the Master needs you.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that You have a plan and purpose for my life. You have chosen and hand-picked me to do what You have prepared for me to do. Help me to fulfil the purpose You have for my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“God helps those who help themselves.&…

“God helps those who help themselves.” People think that this saying comes from the Bible. It doesn’t. No, God helps the helpless!
Maybe, you have been in this predicament for far too long and nobody seems to come to your aid. When God leads you to a tight spot where there is no way of escape, we think it is some kind of punishment for our sins. The Israelites thought that God took them to the shores of the Red Sea to surrender them into the hands of the Pharaoh. On the contrary, there was a great miracle waiting to happen. All they had to do was “Stand still and see the deliverance the Lord was going to bring.” (Exodus 14:13). So, child of God, if you feel helpless, don’t be afraid, be still, God has already planned your deliverance.

God never abandons His children. In times of danger and distress, He spreads His wings of protection and comfort over us. Under the shadow of His wings, we don’t need to fear the difficult circumstances of life. Storms may rage around us, but we are safe under the canopy of His constant care. The psalmist assures us, “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.” (Psalm 91:4)
If you are going through painful times, take refuge under His wings. Take comfort in the fact that God’s protection is spread over you. Nothing can touch your life without His permission. Nothing can threaten when He is your Protector.

1 Corinthians 16:14

‘Show love in everything you do.’
Love should be the guiding force in our daily lives. God is love and when we show love, we reflect His character. In a world that is harsh and unforgiving, we should shine His love around us.In everything you do today and in the future, remember to do it all in love.
PRAYER: Lord, may my life reflect Your great love to those around me. Let me not act out of character with the love I have received. Instead let me be a dispenser of Your love to those I come in contact with. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 16:13
‘Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.’
We should be alert because our enemy goes around like a roaring lion. We should stand firm so that we are not tossed to and fro by storms of life. We should be people of courage because we serve a mighty God. And we should be strong because He will give us the strength we need.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to be alert so that the enemy doesn’t get a foothold in my life. May I stand firm in the strength and power You give me and may I be a person of courage who does not shrink back but presses forward. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Philippians 1:27

‘Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ.’

– We should always remember that as children of God we are citizens of heaven.
– We are His representatives and His ambassadors here on earth.
– How we live our lives is of great importance, because He has work for us to do.
– Let us live lives that honour the Lord so that others can be touched in the process.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that I can be a ‘Citizen of Heaven’ and a representative for You. Use my life in such a way that I will be a part of expanding Your Kingdom here on earth and may my life bring glory and praise to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

There were no needy ones among them, because…

There were no needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales, and lay them at the apostles’ feet for distribution to anyone who had need. Acts 4:34-35
This is a beautiful glimpse of what life was like in the early church. This is not a forced distribution of wealth, not an attempt to make everyone give up their material things. No, it is a change of attitude, saying, Nothing that I possess is mine, but everything I have is God’s, and therefore it is available to anyone who needs it. They were one in heart and mind and body, united together. That is the church as it ought to be, made up of genuine followers of Christ.
Are we tight-fisted when it comes to sharing? Do we truly care for those in need?
