Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3). Money can’t buy it. Man’s righteousness can’t earn it. Social prestige can’t help you acquire it. Morality can’t purchase it. It is, as Isaiah said, “without money and without price. . He holds in His omnipotent hand the priceless, precious, eternal gift of salvation, and He bids you to take it without money and without price. The best things in life are free, are they not? The air we breathe is not sold by the cubic foot. The water which flows crystal clear from the mountain stream is free for the taking. Love is free, faith is free, hope is free.
Do you need to give or recommit your life to Christ? Do it today.
Psalm 86:7 In the day of my distress I will call on You, for You will answer me.
We have a God who answers us when we call on Him. Our God is alive and every cry proceeding out of our mouth reaches His ear. Throughout the ages, men and women who needed His help like Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Hannah, David, Peter, Paul, called on this same God. He answered each one of them. There is no verse in the Bible which says, “God did not answer them” or “God did not help His people.” Right here, right now, you can call on the Lord, the Eternal God. He is able to do much more than you could even ask or think, so call on Him!
Any time we face a disappointment in life or go through a loss, we have to remember there’s another chapter in front of us. We can’t stop on that page, we have to keep moving forward. Instead of focusing on what didn’t work out, wondering why we went through a marriage that didn’t last, or why we didn’t get that position we worked so hard for, focus on the future.
The Lord says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19
Let go of the past and press forward because your story ends in victory, and God will restore everything that has been stolen from you!
How often we lament and cry,” Lord, why have you forsaken me and forgotten me?” The Lord declares in Isaiah 49:15-16: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands. “I have engraved you.” It does not say, “I have engraved your name.“ I have engraved you, everything about you, all that concerns you; and yet we are as continually troubled with anxieties, plagued with suspicions, and disturbed with fears as if our God has forsaken us. How can we doubt Him when He’s been faithful a thousand times. He will never ever forget His children.
Put your hope in the LORD. Travel steadily along His path. He will honour you by giving you the land. Psalm 37:34
Impatience can cause great problems. If we try to force things or speed things up, things often go wrong. Look what Abraham did: He buckled to Sarah’s pressure and had a child through Hagar, when God had already promised to bless him with descendants as numerous as the stars. Don’t become impatient with God. Keep on trusting Him. And ‘in due season’ you will see God’s promise being fulfilled.
PRAYER: Lord, I will wait for Your perfect time. You will keep Your promise as You are faithful. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and brought us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. Colossians 1:13
Jesus RESCUED me. Undeserving me. He rescued. From what? The dominion of darkness, where I was oppressed and bound with no hope, and brought me into the Kingdom of His Son – the kingdom of light. Praise His Name! We have been rescued! Hallelujah!
Lord, may I surrender my entire life to you, my Rock and my Redeemer. Empower me by your Spirit to live a life “worthy” of You and “pleasing” to you in every way. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
