If you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. – Matthew 6:15 Jesus the Son of God, looked at those who had tortured Him…nailed Him to the cross, said: “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing” (Luke 23: 34).Forgiveness does not mean approving of what someone did. It does not mean pretending that evil never took place. It doesn’t mean making excuses for other people’s bad behavior. It doesn’t deny the pain or change the past, but it does break the cycle of bitterness. Forgiveness allows you to let go and move on. Forgiveness  is a necessary part of what it means to be a Christian. And we must forgive as God has forgiven us—freely, completely, graciously, totally. The miracle we have received is a miracle we pass on to others.

Hebrews 8

Circumstances often bring us to a place where the future looks bleak and the outcome is unknown. Like a shepherd who walks before his flock to make sure the land is safe, God walks before His children to scout out the land and lead them in the right direction. It doesn’t matter what lies ahead of us, He goes before us. As the Israelites were crossing into the Promised Land, they were facing a scary situation. They were walking into a battle they couldn’t win on their own, but they marched with confidence because they knew the One who went before them. I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight.   Isaiah 45:2 No matter how lost you might feel, remember that you are not alone. God is with you, follow Him step by step, He’ll lead you to where you need to go.

How comforting it is to know that wherever we are, God is with us. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations and wonder if God is paying attention. We may feel so alone and even depressed. We can’t feel God’s presence, and we need His guidance and help. Sometimes, no one really understands what we are going through but He does.  Zephaniah 3:17 says, “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you…” God is with us, leading us, guiding us, loving us, delighting in us, providing for us – all with His unlimited resources. What do we need? Do we need strength, peace, love, joy, or hope? He has it all. You can trust God. No matter what is going on in your life, He is there!

For in Him we live and move and have our being. ‘For we are also His offspring.’ (Acts 17:28)
Our God is alive. He is involved in each of our lives. Although we feel lonely at times, He is not far from each of us. ITS IN HIM THAT WE LIVE – our life comes from Him, it is His very breath that brought us life…AND MOVE – He is with us through every season and circumstance, every move and turn of our lives, He never leaves us nor forsakes us… AND HAVE OUR BEING – He created us with a purpose and is working in us through His Holy Spirit, to accomplish all that He has for us. Our very being is in Him, sustaining us through His wisdom and power.
You’re not alone; Christ is with you. Be encouraged child of God.

Philippians 1:27

‘Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ.’

– We should always remember that as children of God we are citizens of heaven.
– We are His representatives and His ambassadors here on earth.
– How we live our lives is of great importance, because He has work for us to do.
– Let us live lives that honour the Lord so that others can be touched in the process.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that I can be a ‘Citizen of Heaven’ and a representative for You. Use my life in such a way that I will be a part of expanding Your Kingdom here on earth and may my life bring glory and praise to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Slip away into yourself and find peace there, daily.
