Then King Nebuchadnezzar spoke, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” (Daniel 3:24–25) Yes, Daniel’s friends were not alone in the fiery furnace. The Lord was with them. The ropes that had bound them turned into ashes but not a hair in their head was singed. The presence of Christ made all the difference. Today, if you are going through a time of fiery testing, let Christ’s presence bring you comfort and peace. He will walk with you. He will shield you. And when it’s over, you will come out stronger and fine as gold. Don’t fear the furnace; trust God.

‘Give thanks to the Lord, for He is go…

‘Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.’ 1 Chronicles 16:34 In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 What do you have that you did not receive from God? Everything we own and have, we ultimately received from God and we owe Him thanks.Let’s start this week with a different attitude. Start by giving thanks to God for His faithfulness. We all can find reason to be discouraged. But HE is faithful and you have a reason to rejoice.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the many blessings that I enjoy from Your hand. You are truly a faithful God and I thank You for Your love and kindness towards me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Luke 10:41 HE answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things.’ Just as the Lord was aware of Martha’s condition, so He knows your situation too. He knows your every anxious thought and your every troubling concern. His desire is that we would live free from this burden and weight. His Word to you is: ‘Do not be anxious about anything, My child!’

PRAYER: Lord, rid me of all anxiety and worry. May I live in the security of Your love and provision and may I be free from discouragement and distress that threatens to drown me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

2 Timothy 4:2   ‘Be prepared, whether …

2 Timothy 4:2   ‘Be prepared, whether the time is favourable or not.’ You and I are called upon by the Lord to be prepared and ready. If we wait for perfect conditions, we may never step out into God’s plans.Sometimes things are not favourable, but that should not stop us from doing what God calls us to do. We need to be ready and willing to obey and follow His instructions.PRAYER: Lord, thank You that regardless of whether the time is favourable or not, I am available, and You can use me. I am ready, willing and prepared, because I know that You will take care of every detail of my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 ‘May He strengthen your hearts…!’
To face the issues and challenges of life, our hearts need to be strong. Our hearts can fail us due to fear, worry and concern. The Lord understands how faint and frail you are and is the One who strengthens your hearts. He will make your heart strong so that you can face life with confidence.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You would come and strengthen and establish my heart. Strengthen me so that I can stand secure in the storms of life and having done all to stay standing in Your strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king…

But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command; therefore the king was furious, and his anger burned within him.” (Esther 1:12) Although a pagan queen, Vashti had principles she refused to compromise. When Ahasuerus called for her to present herself before his guests, she refused to display herself to the leers of other men and thus refused the king’s command and therefore was removed from her position as queen. Whether at work, in social or in the political arena, Christians face tremendous pressure to participate in activities and attitudes contrary to God’s will and command. It’s important, however, that we take an uncompromising position when it comes to our principles. May the Lord strengthen each one of us to stand for our principles.

The more you think about something, the stronger it takes hold of you, which is why the Bible teaches that we should fill our minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable. (Philippians 4:8) Temptation begins by capturing your attention. What gets your attention arouses your emotions. Running from temptation is far more effective than fighting it. Keep your mind occupied with God’s Word. The Bible repeatedly tells us to keep our minds focused: “Fix your thoughts on Jesus.” (Hebrews 3:1) If you’re serious about defeating temptation you must manage your mind and monitor what you read, what you watch and what you speak. Proverbs 4:23 warns, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.”
