It’s a great comfort to those who love the Lord to know that He can be neither intimidated nor defeated. If they are from the Lord, whatever plans we have will unfold no matter who opposes them.Jesus said, “See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it” (Revelation 3:8). Conversely, if your plans are not from the Lord, they ultimately will fail no matter who proposes them. Prayerfully place your plans and desires into God’s hands. Be assured that if they are His will, He will bring them about. Nothing can stop God’s will.No matter what man proposes, it’s God who disposes.

God’s Word tells us in Lamentations 3:22-23, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His mercies fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The enemy would have us believe that we have messed up so badly that we are bound to live in defeat; that we have failed too many times and God is angry at us. But God’s Word says that He loves me and forgives me and understands that I am weak and is willing to help me. Isn’t God amazing?  He gives us a fresh start every day.  How can we be defeated, then? How can one be discouraged with His unfailing love surrounding us?  How can we be sad and hopeless when we serve the greatest God in the universe?

“But where,” Job asked, “do I find it?” “Where can wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? (Job 28: 12) His Heavenly Father answers him: "Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.” (Job 28: 28) The best source of wisdom is your Bible. God speaks clearly through His Word to give you wisdom, knowledge and the guidance you need for your daily life. But the key is to revere God and be in awe of Him. In our casual culture we must take care that we always have a reverent fear of the Lord. While Jesus has made us His friends (John 15:15), we need to remember that His friendship is like none other, for He is worthy of our worship and praise. As we reverence Him, He will give us wisdom.

“As for me, I look to the LORD for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.” Micah 7:7 The context of this chapter is one of gloom. In Micah 7, Israel was corrupt, but God was still present and promised to lead the people out of all the darkness they were facing. Despite the corruption that was going on, Micah turned to the Lord in faith. He proclaimed that he would wait upon the Lord. He knew that God would not only hear his request, but He would save him too. This promise isn’t just for Micah, but it is for you as well. God will bring you through your trial. Look to Him for help and wait confidently, not only does He hear your cries, He will answer them too. At just the perfect time, He will deliver you from the pain you are facing.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Proverbs 3:3 Character is measured by the love and faithfulness we genuinely display in our daily lives. These are simple virtues that we cannot fake. Love is displayed when we choose to treat others, even those we are not able to love, with kindness and genuine concern. Faithfulness is being a person of truth — genuine and trustworthy in word and deed. These virtues need to be a part of our everyday lives. When we live like this, people will see God in you and God will be pleased.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Psalm 56:8

What are you worried about? God knows about it, your sleepless nights, your sighing, your tears. He has kept it in a bottle and it’s before Him. He doesn’t let your tears fall to the ground. They’re too precious to Him. He knows how to bring you out at the right time. Keep on trusting Him to act in your situation. He can be trusted and you can place your hope in Him!
PRAYER: Lord, I know my tears are not hidden from You, help me not to allow discouragement to undermine my confidence in You. Instead, I will live with an expectation that You will act on my behalf. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Any time we face a disappointment in life or go through a loss, we have to remember there’s another chapter in front of us. We can’t stop on that page, we have to keep moving forward. Instead of focusing on what didn’t work out, wondering why we went through a marriage that didn’t last, or why we didn’t get that position we worked so hard for, focus on the future.
The Lord says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19
Let go of the past and press forward because your story ends in victory, and God will restore everything that has been stolen from you!

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights.” Habakkuk 3:17-19 Regardless of his circumstances, Habakkuk had learned to be joyful in His Saviour and clings to his God for strength. In the midst of things that seem to be going wrong in our lives, may we like Habakkuk, stop right now and choose to praise Him simply for who He is.

Exodus 39:30 ‘Holy to the Lord.’ (Dedicated to the LORD)
Your life was designed to be dedicated to the Lord and used by Him. Your very existence is by no means a mistake – it is part of God’s plan. God has chosen you out of all the people to be His very own. Don’t become contaminated by the things that corrupt you, but be ‘set apart’ for His use and His purposes.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You that in You my life has meaning and purpose. Help me to be ‘holy and dedicated’ unto You, my Lord and my God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Exodus 13:21 ‘The LORD went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and He provided light at night with a pillar of fire.’
Night and day, the Lord takes care of you. During the ‘day’ seasons of your life, He will lead and guide. During the ‘night’ seasons of your life, His comforting presence is with you and He will provide exactly what you need.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You that You care so much for me that You go ahead of me and prepare the way for me. Regardless of whether it is day or night, Your hand will hold me and abandon me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
