Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3). Money can’t buy it. Man’s righteousness can’t earn it. Social prestige can’t help you acquire it. Morality can’t purchase it. It is, as Isaiah said, “without money and without price. . He holds in His omnipotent hand the priceless, precious, eternal gift of salvation, and He bids you to take it without money and without price. The best things in life are free, are they not? The air we breathe is not sold by the cubic foot. The water which flows crystal clear from the mountain stream is free for the taking. Love is free, faith is free, hope is free.
Do you need to give or recommit your life to Christ? Do it today.
“Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have purposed to make my steps stumble. The proud have hidden a snare for me … they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set traps for me.” (Psalm 140:4-5). The enemy is absolutely determined to overthrow every believer who walks in holiness and complete devotion to Jesus Christ. While it is true that satan has an army of some of the craftiest, skilled fowlers on earth, the good news is that none of his attacks will succeed against the devoted child of God. No matter what your failure, your hardship or the trap, rest assured that God is on your side. Even when you’re weak, you can cry out to God and He will come and tear away the net. Just stand still and see His salvation!
Praying people always get God’s attention! When Cornelius cried out to heaven, he “saw in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, ‘Cornelius!’” (Acts 10:3) “Send for Simon Peter … He will tell you what you must do” (10:5-6). What happened next, His household was saved. God works on all sides when His people get to praying earnestly. Cornelius was prayerful and generous to the poor. He spent time in the presence of the Lord and He gave him specific directions. Likewise, God will show you what is needed on your part and when you obey and pray, you will see revival in your home.
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Romans 5:6 ‘When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.’
The Good News is that the Lord comes in our helplessness and gives us hope. He knows our struggles and our failures and steps in at the right time. As we remember His death and what He did for us on the cross, we celebrate hope. No matter how ‘utterly helpless’ our situation may be, He is our help and answer. He will enable us to live a life that He calls us to live.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for coming into the world to die and to give Your life as a sacrifice for me. I recognise that You are all I need. Help me in my walk with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
