Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” (Philippians 4:5)
Christians should be known for being gentle and considerate – not easily provoked or harsh toward others. This means having forbearance or patience toward others; and these attributes should be evident to everyone who comes in contact with us. Jesus is pleased when we represent Him this way. After all, didn’t Jesus say, “Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart” (Matthew 11:29)?

Can you imagine how many grand plans would have been made by giant corporations, banks, businesses and individuals for the year 2020? Who would have thought a virus would paralyze the world? Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” James 4: 13–15. It says, “Now listen, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that, spend a year there, carry on business and make money. ‘Why, you don’t even know what will happen tomorrow. What’s your life? You’re a mist that appears for a while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.’ God’s plan stands firm forever. Nothing can stop God’s purpose from being fulfilled. Isaiah 14:27 says, “For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart Him? What comfort! All His plans for us will come to pass.

When we live for “me, myself and I” and make it about our little family and circle of friends, life becomes meaningless. But when we reach out in Jesus’ name to those in need and their families and their children, to those who may be lonely; to someone who may be in the hospital,  to a brother or sister who may be grieving the loss of a loved one; we find fulfillment and abundant life. Why? Because that’s the heart of God, and we are never more like Him than when our hearts go out.
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”‭‭Hebrews‬ 13:16‬ ‭

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth.” (John 16:13)Who better to teach us about God’s Word than the person who wrote the book? Many a times I read the Bible, and I get stuck. What is God trying to say? I can’t get it. Then I ask the Holy Spirit to open my eyes to the truth of His word, and He faithfully does. What our finite mind cannot comprehend, the Spirit of God brings to surface the truth , the treasures hidden in His word. He reveals God’s heart, God’s love, His plan and purpose and above all His salvation to us.

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7 When you are fearful, when you are sick, when you have nothing or nobody to lean on, when things seem hopeless, you can run to God. We can take refuge in the shadow of His wings. And when we do that, just like a hen gathers up her chicks under her wings when threatened, God gathers us under His wings. Here there is safety, there is provision, there is love, joy and peace.Heavenly Father, thank you for taking care of me. Your unfailing love is priceless.  Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. I take refuge in You, safe from the raging storms. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you…” (Isaiah 43:2 ) God doesn’t say if you pass through the waters, but when you do.  It’s inevitable.  So what do we do?  Live our lives cringing in fear?  No! You must never fear.God wants us to remember two things:  Firstly ,  when we’re going through trial, we are not alone.  God is with us.  We may not see Him or feel Him, but He’s there!  Secondly, when we go through the rivers, they will not sweep over us.  The battle may be fierce, but we will not be swept away. Jesus will be with you. He has promised that however strong the current, He will not  let you drown!

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17 In times of crisis, like the one we’re going through, the enemy brings the most terrifying thoughts. He likes to use his weapons to strike fear in the heart of Christians. But God tells us that nothing satan has in his arsenal can stand against His children. So, what do we do? Remember, even when the whole world changes around you God’s kindness will not depart. Even though everything crumbles around you, God will remain. Nothing the enemy can come up with will prosper against you. Stand firm on His Word and trust Him through the whole process. Put on the Armour of God and pray. Anything the enemy brings against us will not prevail. Stand and don’t retreat. Hold fast to the promises laid out in God’s Word.

We all need to start each day with trust in the Lord and commit our way into His hands. Whatever confronts us this day, the Lord will take care of it.Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. Psalm 90:14

He satisfies every need of ours, even the need of love. We are never empty-He fills our cup, never lonely- His loving presence is always with us, never in need- He will satisfy every need. Therefore my heart sings for joy and rejoices in the God of my salvation.
