Luke 10:41 HE answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things.’ Just as the Lord was aware of Martha’s condition, so He knows your situation too. He knows your every anxious thought and your every troubling concern. His desire is that we would live free from this burden and weight. His Word to you is: ‘Do not be anxious about anything, My child!’
PRAYER: Lord, rid me of all anxiety and worry. May I live in the security of Your love and provision and may I be free from discouragement and distress that threatens to drown me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Have you ever wished you could sit down with God and have a good talk with Him about your own life? Have you ever wished you could just say to Him, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” All of us have moments when we long for God’s direction. We’re all like sheep stumbling around in the darkness, trying to find our way forward. We can’t say for sure where we are right now, or where we’re going to betomorrow. Only God can see the big picture of life. Therefore, enjoy each day as it comes–and let God take care of the future. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.” He can put you exactly where He wants you to be, open doors that need to be open, He can even take your mistakes and bring something good out of it.
If God’s Word is true and I believe it is, then He will give me what I need when the time arises. I don’t have to live in fear or worry of what tomorrow will bring because He promises to be with me, to give me His Strength and His Power to meet whatever will come my way. Fear arises when we imagine that everything depends on us.
We have nothing to fear … if God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31) Be at peace, child of God, God knows how to meet your needs. You may not see a way, but He will make a way.
When worry and deep concerns plague us, we toss and turn all night long — unable to sleep. But, when King David was surrounded by troubles and threats, he sang. Psalm 4:8,
In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety.
What is causing you sleepless nights? Place those concerns and worries at the feet of Jesus. Rest in His arms, knowing that He is well capable of dealing with every single problem you are facing today.
